HeatGenie Takes $6M For Self-Heating Beverages

Austin-based HeatGnie, which develops self-heating drinks, has raised $6M in a funding round. The funding was led by ARTIS Labs, and also included Almanac Investments and other private investors. HeatGenie says it has created an "environmentally safe and recyclable" technology that allows consumers to heat their drinks with a twist of the lid. Mark Turner is the CEO of HeatGenie.
