Ballogy Launches Sports Analytics Software

Austin-based Ballogy, a startup which is applying software an analytics to help youth and amateur athletes improve their profile--starting with basketball--has launched its app this week. According to the startup, led by founder and CEO Todd Young, it is collecting information on general athletic skills, sport-specific skills, and body measurement to help young athletes know how they are progressing compared to peers. The company said its software is a response to the increasing "intensity and competitiveness of youth sports". The app is currently free, and runs on both iOS and Android.
