GameStop Set To Launch Game Rental Service, PowerPass

Frisco, Texas-based videogame retailer GameStop is launching a new game rental service called PowerPass on November 19th, according to details leaked today, whcih will allow subscribers to gain unlimited access to used games at the store, one at a time. The new service--which GameStop said will cost $60 for a six month subscription--only allows users to have one game at a time, but allows users to swap out titles a many times during their subscription. GameStop currently is advertising a free game at the end of six months for subscribers who sign up for its service.
