WP Engine: We Now Have More Than 70,000 Customers, 450 Employees

Austin-based WPEngine, the provider of WordPress hosting services, said today that it recently surpassed 70,000 customers using its services. The company also said it had 42 percent year-over-year customer growth in 2016, as a result of work with agency and enterprise brands. No financial details of that growth were announced by the company. WP Engine specifically pointed at its success coming from a diverse workplace and its 450 employees, saying it is committed to advancing diversity and inclusion within the workplace. WordPress is led by CEO Heather Brunner.
