Amazon Opening New Austin Office For Game Engine Development

Amazon.com is opening up a new location in Austin, to work on its Amazon Lumberyard 3D game engine, according to Amazon.com on Tuesday. Amazon called Austin "one of the long-standing centers of gravity for great game development talent, and innovation in community-driven games". Amazon called Austin the "perfect location" to help game developers build community-driven games. Amazon already has a team in Austin working on Twitch, its video game streaming service.
