Pingboard Gets $1.25 Million For Social Company Directories
Goodbye, outdated paper employee directories--Austin-based Pingboard, a new startup founded in Austin's Capital Factory, has raised $1.25M in a seed round of funding. According to the company, the seed funding was led by Silverton Partners, and also included angels Pat Mathews (Webmail.us), Pat Condon (Rackspace), Joshua Baer (OtherInbox, Capital Factory), Jason Cohen ( WP Engine), Jonathan Siegel (RightScale), Rony Kahan (Indeed.com), and Auren Hoffman (RapLeaf). As part of the funding, Kip McClanahan of Silverton Partners joins the company's board. Pingboard is developing a social version of the venerable company directory, automating spreadsheets and paper with a tool that allows companies to manage their employee information in one place, and which also allows for third party software access to that information.
