Redfin Opens In Austin

Redfin, an online, web-focused real estate service which helps people buy and sell homes at a discount, said today that it has opened up in Austin. The firm--based out of Seattle--lets people buy and sell homes and refunds some of the real estate commission to users, by cutting out costs via its online, Internet-based systems. Redfin is venture backed by BEV Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Globespan Capital Partners, Greylock Partners, Madrona Venture Group, The Hillman Company, and Vulcan Capital.
