Alliance Data Signs Consumer Products Firm

Dallas-based customer loyalty and marketing firm Alliance Data Systems Corp. reported Thursday that it has signed a long-term service agreement with PD Financial Corp., a direct retailer of brand-name consumer products. The specific length and financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. According to Alliance, it will provide PD Financial with private-label credit card services for its catalog and Web channels. Alliance explained that PD Financial, which currently operates under the trade name PeachDirect, plans to unveil in the early fall a new brand—VENUE—for its catalog and Web channels.
