Mavenir Names Austin Ventures' Scott Chairman

Richardson, Texas-based Mavenir said today that it has named Ben Scott, a partner at Austin Ventures, as Chairman of the firm. Scott is also chairman of Navini Networks, and serves on the boards of Sipera, 724, Active Power, and Celite Systems. Mavenir is a venture-backed telecommunications firm backed by Austin Ventures, North Bridge Venture Partners, and Alloy Ventures. Scott previously served on Mavenir's board as a director.
