Portelligent Acquired By CMP

Austin-based Portelligent, a provider of product teardown and electronics analysis, has been acquired by technology publisher CMP. CMP announced the deal on Monday, however, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. CMP said that Portelligent will become part of the publisher's CMP Electronics Group and will be integrated into its CMP Semiconductor Insights division. Portelligent was spun out in 2000 out of Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation (MCC).
