MetroPCS Drops Leap Wireless Bid

Dallas-based MetroPCS said last night that it has withdrawn its bid for Leap Wireless, the firm said it "has not been able to engage Leap in meaningful negotiations" with Leap on its offer. MetroPCs had offered to pay $5.5B in stock for Leap Wireless in September.
