CyrusOne Adds AWS Direct Connect In Houston

Dallas-based data center operator CyrusOne is boosting its direct connections to Amazon Web Services (AWS), with a new connection in Houston, the company said this morning. CyrusOne said it has added Amazon's AWS Direct Connect at its Houston West data center campus, in a move which provides direct access to AWS through a private and secure network. AWS Direct Connect is used by companies looking for a dedicated connection into Amazon's web services, avoiding congestion in public networks and possible security issues. CyrusOne already offers up access across a number of its data centers. The company also has similar connections into Microsoft Azure.
