ECi Software Solutions Acquired By Apax Partners

Fort Worth-based ECi Software Solutions, a developer of ERP and e-commerce software for the manufacturing, building & construction, field and IT services, and distribution markets, has been acquired by private equity investor Apax Partners. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. ECi Software had been backed by The Carlyle Group and Level Equity. The companies said The Carlyle Group will remain as a minority investor. As part of the deal, Apax will combine the Macola, JobBOSS and MAX businesses of Exact Software, which is currently owned by Apax, with ECI Software. ECI Software will remain headquartered in Fort Worth, and will be led by current CEO Ron Books.
