StoredIQ Launches Big Data Analysis Product

Austin-based StoredIQ said today that it has launched a new, application aimed at the understanding and analysis of "big data". The firm said its new DatIQ application helps organizations to understand their unstructured data, including figuring out how much data is stored across the enterprise, where the largest repositories are, who owns the data, and more. The firm said the new tool is aimed at helping IT organizations make informed decision on things like data migration, storage optimization, records management, e-discovery, and more. Pricing was not announced, but the firm said it will price the new product via subscription, based on the amount of data under management. The software is in beta, and is expected in general availability in August.
