Stocktweeting.com Launches Financial Take On Twitter

Austin-based startup Stocktweeting.com is hoping to take advantage of the popularity of micro-messaging site Twitter, with the launch of its own, financially-focused messaging service, the firm said yesterday. According to Stocktweeting.com, its site will filter, track, and allow users to interact with investors on top of the existing, Twitter micro-blogging service. The firm's site filters out both news and tweets from Twitter with mention of specific stock symbols and companies. The site uses stock symbols and hash tags to show real time tweets on companies, next to a current chart and specific, highlighted Twitter users. The site is a project of HagensMedia, LLC.
