SpareFoot Takes This Year's Austin Startup Games

Online self storage marketplace operator SpareFoot again took the top position at this weekend's Austin Startup Games, winning $23,000 for charity, as sixteen local startups competed in the fun competition to help raise money for local charities. According to SpareFoot, it is donating its $23,000 check to Kure It, a cancer research charity it has been supporting through the Startup Games. The games included such startup-friendly games as foosball, beer pong, pop-a-shot, connect, and shuffleboard. The Startup Games this year included Adlucent, Adometry, Boundless Network, BuildASign, Capital Factory, Chaotic Moon, CSID, Headspring, Living Direct, Main Street Hub, Map My Fitness, Mass Relevance, Sparefoot, Spiceworks, Spredfast, and uShip.
