Spacetime Studios Gets Funding For MMO

Austin-based Spacetime Studios, a developer of 3D, massively multiplayer online games (MMOs), said this week that it has raised a new round of funding. Amount of the funding was not disclosed. According to the firm, the new round came from Insight Venture Partners, and will be used to extend its platform and add new functionality to its product. Spacetime develops Pocket Legends, a fantasy-themed MMO which runs on iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Android, and Windows PCs. The firm was co-founded by Cinco Barnes, Gary Gattis, Jake Rodgers and Anthony L. Sommers.
