SolarWinds Buys Assets Of New Zealand Firm

Austin-based SolarWinds, which develops network management software, said Monday that it has acquired the technology products of New Zealand's Kiwi Enterprises. Kiwi is a developer of tools used by network engineers to manage syslog messages from network devices. Financial terms of the asset purchase deal were not disclosed. Solarwinds said that along with the products, the firm will bring on the Kiwi development team as employees. Kiwi is used by network engineers to scour through system logs from devices, filter out key information, create alerts, manage configuration, and to graph traffic statistics for routers, switches, and firewalls.
