SoftLayer Adopts Intel Sandy Bridge

Dallas-based hosting provider SoftLayer Technologies reported today that it is adopting Intel's next generation Sandy Bridge server processors. The firm claimed it is the first hosting provider to offer servers using the Intel Xeon 1200 Series processors, Intel's next generation Sandy Bridge processor chip family.
