SoftLayer Adds Solid State Storage

Dallas-based hosting provider SoftLayer Technologies said today that it has boosted its range of solid state drives available to customers. The firm said it has added micron RealSSD P300 solid state drives, in 50GB, 100GB, and 200GB capacities for its customers. The new drives are aimed at customers running high performance and data-intensive applications such as databases. Cost of the solid state disk drive options was not announced.
