SoftLayer Adds Dedicated Firewalls

Dallas-based cloud hosting service SoftLayer announced today that it has added new, dedicated hardware firewalls to its menu of services. The firm said the new service will allow its customers to product one, multiple, or all of their cloud, dedicated, and virtual systems on the same virtual local area network. The firm said the new dedicated firewalls will analyze and filter all network traffic reaching a customer's systems.
