Snow Software: Workers Struggle To Disconnect During Vacation

Snow Software, the developer of software asset management software which recently has been ramping up its presence in Austin, says that workers globally struggle to disconnect from their employers' devices during summer vaction. According to Snow Software, only 22 percent of workers intend to leave their employer-provided devices at home whole on vacation, suggesting that workers are having to work on vacation. The company said the trend creates the potential for burnout, IT headaches and increased risk. Snow said it surveyed 3,000 workers for its study, with 34 percent reporting that they always take their work devices on vacation, with another 27 percent saying they bring them most of the time and 17 percent taking them some of time. Snow has been boosting its presence in Austin since 2017, when it raised a big $120M funding round from Sumeru Equity Partners and the Ontario Pension Board.
