Skyonic Names Former GE Research Chief As Chairman

Austin-based Skyonic Corporation, a developer of carbon capture technology, said Monday that it has named Dr. Mark Little as its Chairman of the Board. Little was SVP, Director of General Electric Global Research and Chief Technology Officer of GE up until December of last year; he also served at Vice President of GE Energy's power generation segment, among other roles within GE. Skyonic is developing flue gas scrubbing technology, which converts those CO2 heavy emissions into usable sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), hydrochloric acid (HCl), caustic soda and bleach products, sold on the industrial market.
