Sipera Rolls Wi-Fi Security Features

Richardson, Texas-based Sipera Systems announced Monday that it has added new security functionality for its products, adding a new security policy framework, intrusion detection, and other features. Sipera said that the new featuers will allow service provider to secure deployment of WiFi dual-mode phones and IMS/UMA Networks. The new functionality is part of Sipera's IPCS 520 product. Sipera is a provider of security software for the VoIP market. The company has received venture funding from Austin Ventures, Sequoia Capital, and STAR Ventures.
