Siluria Gets $30M For Natural Gas Fuels, Plans Houston Office

Silicon Valley-based Siluria, a developer of technology to convert natural gas to gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, has raised $30M in a funding, and is targeting the opening of a Houston office. Siluria announced today that it has raised $30M as part of a Series D funding, which was led by Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures (SAEV), and also included the company's prior investors. The company's CEO Edward Dineen, is based in The Woodlands, having been COO of LyondellBasell Industries. The Houston Business Journal reports the company is looking to open the Houston office shortly. The new funding comes on top of an earlier, nearly $100M invested in the company, and is only the first part of the funding fro the company--which says the round ultimately is targeted at $50M.
