Silicon Valley Firm Vermillion Moves To Austin

Silicon Valley-based Vermillion, a developer of molecular diagnostics products, said today that it has relocated its corporate headquarters to Austin. Vermilion said that the move will allow it to take advantage of Austins's "strong talent pool", that Austin also has a more cost-effective environment, and that its central location will help it interact with its national sales force and strategic partners on both the East and West coasts. Vermillion said it will continue to operate research and development, regulatory and quality operations in California. Vermillion was formerly based in Fremont, California.
