Silicon Labs Settles With MaxLinear

Austin-based analog and mixed signal IC developer Silicon Labs has settled a batch of patent lawsuits against competitor MaxLinear, the two said this morning. Details on the settlement were not announced, but Silicon Labs said it has granted MaxLinear a license to its portfolio of patents, and MaxLinear has also granted Silicon Labs with a license to its own portfolio of patents. The two also agreed not to sue each other in a three year covenant. The two have been engaged in patent lawsuits since early 2012.
