Siemens PLM Gains Win With Russian Aircraft Developer

Plano-based Siemens PLM Software, a developer of computer aided design and engineering tools, reported this week that its products have been selected by United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) of Russia, a designer of aircraft. According to Siemens PLM, the two are in a long-term, strategic relationship where UAC will standardize on its software for product data management and for computer-aided design. Financial terms of the win were not disclosed. Siemens said its products have been used on UAC's programs, including its Sukhoi Superjet 1000.
