Senscient Collects $5.6M in Series B Funds

Senscient Inc., a manufacturer of gas detection equipment for industrial safety, environmental monitoring and process analysis applications, announced late Friday that it has concluded its second round of venture financing after raising some $5.6 million. The League City, Texas-based business credited Emerald Technology Ventures and Yellowstone Capital Partners with leading the effort. Senscient added that it will use the money to expand its corporate and sales operations in support of its inflammable and toxic gas detector. In a related move, Senscient said Emerald's Charles Vaslet and Luc Charron and Yellowstone's Bill Brewer have joined Senscient's board. More information »
