SemiSouth Names New CEO

Austin-based SemiSouth said Monday that it has named Kenney Roberts as the firm's President and CEO. Roberts was previously the firm's COO. SemiSouth did not give a reason for the departure of the firm's prior President and CEO, Vess Johnson, who was appointed CEO in January. Roberts has served at Cirrus Logic, Colorado MicroDisplay, Layer N Networks, TeraVicata Technologies, AMD, Crystal Semiconductor, and Mostek. SemiSouth is a developer of silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors.
