Securus Technologies Acquires Telerus

Dallas-based Securus Technologies, a developer of communications products used in the jail and corrections industry, said this morning that it has acquired Telerus. Telerus provides inmate communications services, global postitioning system (GPS) monitoring devices, and other products used for prisons. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Securus is owned by private equity firm Castle Harlan.
