ScienceLogic Sets Up Shop In Austin

Virginia-based ScienceLogic, a developer of IT operations and cloud management software, said this week that it has opened up an office in Austin. According to the firm, it is looking to tap into the wealth of talent and expertise in network, systems, and application management software in Austin with its new, 6,000 square foot office. ScienceLogic says it will make th office its marketing and sales hub, headed by Steve Harrimam, its SVP of Marketing, and Scott Sherwood, its SVP of Sales. Both were most recently at NetQOS, the Austin firm which was acquired by CA Technologies in 2009. The company said that two of its other executives--Chris Cordray, co-founder and Chief Scientist, and Fred Johannessen, EVP of Business Development--are also based in Austin.
