Robotics Manufacturer KUKA Sets Up Shop In Austin

KUKA, a manufacturer of industrial robots and other factory automation products, says it has set up shop in Austin, and created a new "center of excellence" here specifically to leverage the latest cloud, web, and mobile technology. The company said its new office, on Mopac Expressway in north Austin, will specifically focus on creating products that will progress the robotics and automation industries. KUKA said its new KUKA ATX location also will help advised on KUKA's U.S.-centric investments. KUKA did not say how many it expects to employ at the new office. KUKA has its headquarters in Germany.
