RigNet Shuffles Executives, CEO Leaves

Houston-based RigNet, a provider of managed communications and network services for the oil and gas industry, has shuffled its top executives, saying today that it has replaced its CEO, Mark Slaughter. According to RigNet, it has named Marty Jimmerson as interim President and CEO, and added Kevin O'Hara as Vice Chairman of its Board of Directors. Reason for the sudden executive change was not given. Jimmerson was previously SVP and Chief Financial Officer of RigNet. RigNet said it it will be initiating a search for a permanent President and CEO in the coming weeks.
