RideScout Acquired By Daimler's Car2Go

Austin-based RideScout, which develops mobile apps to help users find transportation options between locations, has been acquired by Moovel, a subsidiary of Daimler which is the parent company of Car2Go. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Daimler also acquired German taxi booking firm mytaxi. Car2Go offers up a car rental service which rents out Daimler's Smart cars via their smartphone. RideScout comes out of the Austin Technology Incubator, and was previously knwn as GoingMyWay.
