RealPage Buys AssetEye Software

Carrollton, Texas-based software developer RealPage said Tuesday afternoon that it has acquired AssetEye, a provider of data aggregation, reporting and collaboration software for institutional real estate owners. RealPage said it paid $4.8M, net of cash acquired, for AssetEye. According to the company the acquisition will help it expand its software-as-a-service offerings to allow it to serve all assets classes, including commercial, hospitality, multifamily, single family, senior living and student housing. AssetEye's founder, Greg Sherman, will join RealPage to lead product management of its Portfolio Asset Management offering.
