ReAble Therapeutics Buys IOMED For $22M

Austin, Texas based ReAble Therapeutics (formerly known as Encore Medical) and IOMED, a Salt Lake City, Utah-based manufacturer of drug delivery devices, said today that ReAble will acquire IOMED in an all-cash merger. The deal is worth $22M. IOMED is a manufacturer of drug delivery devices used for pain management. IOMED will become a wholly owned subsidiary of ReAble, under its Empi division. ReAble's Empi division is a manufacturer and marketer of pain management and rehabilitation devices.
