Rapid Reporting Acquired By Equifax

Fort Worth-based Rapid Reporting, a provider of IRS tax transcript information and social security number verification services, has been acquired by Equifax, Equifax said late Monday. Equifax said it will pay $72.5M in cash for Rapid Reporting. Rapid Reporting's services are used to determine creditworthiness before qualifying for loans, and to meet USA Patriot Act compliance requirements.
