Rackspace Loses Robert Scoble

San Antonio-based Rackspace has lost technology evangelist, futurist, and commentator Robert Scoble, who said on Thursday that he is leaving Rackspace to join UploadVR, a San Francisco-based augmented and virtual reality company. Scoble had been at Rackspace for seven years, and was among its most visible figures in the technology world. Scoble said that it was "an honor to be a public face of a public company", and that he was leaving Rackspace on friendly terms, with plans to work together with the company in the future.
