Rackspace Launches Cloud Marketplace

San Antonio-based Rackspace Hosting is looking to make it easier for developers and other IT professionals to build on its cloud hosting service, with the launch of a cloud marketplace, the firm said this week. The firm said it has upgraded its Cloud Tools Marketplace to extend its ecosystem, making it possible for user sto evaluate more than a hundred technologies related to its cloud services. The marketplace features cloud management platforms, application deployment tools, security products, database packages, and many other categories.
