Rackspace Aims New VMware vCenter Server Offering At The Enterprise

San Antonio-based cloud hosting firm Rackspace Hosting has extended out its suite of services today, saying it has added new, dedicated VMware VCenter Server hosting. Rackspace said its new managed service will offer up single-tenant, VMware vCEnter Servers, aimed at enterprise customers. VMware is the widely used, server virtualization operating system. Pricing on the new service was not announced. The new service is aimed at enterprise customers who are looking to migrate their existing, VMware workloads out of their on-premise data ceners, but who do not want their servers running on shared infrastructure.
