Quickfilter Teams With Latvian Firm On Audio Technology

Allen, Texas-based Quickfilter Technologies, a semiconductor firm developing mixed-signal ICs for digital signal processing, said Monday that it has teamed up with Riga, Latvia-based Real Sound Lab. The two firms said they have developed a method for controlling frequency response in audio applications. The firms said the new technology is targeted at the consumer audio electronics market. The new technology uses Real Sound Lab's CONEQ software and Quickfilter's SavFIRe programmable digital filter. Financial impact and terms of the deal were not announced.
