Quest Inspar Gets $4.2M For Pipeline Robots

Houston-based Quest Inspar, a developer of robots used to fix and inspect underground pipelines, has raised $4.2M in a funding round, the company said today. The company said the funding came from Five Elms Capital. Quest Inspar's robots are being used to rehabilitate a variety of pipes, including those used in chemical & refining, power generation, oil & gas, mining, industry, and water supply. The firm says its PipeArmor products are less invasive and help rehabilitate aging infrastructure without having to rip out and repair line--instead sealing off leaks and adding structural lining to the interior of pipes from the inside.
