Querium Raises $800K For STEM Tutoring Software

Austin-based Querium, a developer of software to help students master math and science skills, said this morning that it has raised $800,000, in a Series A3 funding round. The funding came from ICG Ventures, as well as others. Querium said the new funding will go towards product development, sales, and marketing. The company is led by Kent Fuka. Querium said it uses artificial intelligence to create a "virtual tutor" to help students with their STEM problems. The company's initial product, launched last January, is aimed at helping students prepare for the mathematics portion of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment. More information »
