QC Games Opens New Game Studio In Austin, Backed By Nexon America

A new, Austin-based videogame development studio, QC Games, has sold the rights to its first project to NEXON Co. Ltd, via its Nexon America subsidiary. NEXON said yesterday that it is in a strategic partnership to acquire the exclusive worldwide publishing and marketing rights to QC Games' first project, a so-far stealth multiplayer online action game. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. QC Games is led by Dallas Dickinson, who was formerly Director of Production at Bioware Austin. NEXON said Dickinson worked on such titles as Star Wars: The Old Republic, Planetside, Shadow Realms and Star Wars: Galaxies. QC Games has a fairly significant team drawn from Bioware Austin.
