Purple Proves (Just About) No One Reads Terms Of Service Agreements

Purple, the provider of Wi-Fi services which helps businesses and venues get better analytics ton their visitors, has just proven that just about no one reads those "terms of agreement" before clicking through. According to Purple, it added a clause to its Terms of Service recently, which required users to clean dirty toilets, hug stray cats, and "manually relieve sewage blockages", with nearly 22,750 people simply clicking through without reading those terms. According to Purple, only one single person out of 22,275 people spotted the requirements during its experiment, which it ran between June 19th and July 2nd. Purple had actually dangled a chance to win a prize if someone would flag the clause, and has no intent of requiring any of its users to follow those terms. Purple opened up its North American headquarters in Austin in January.
