Austin-based PreFix, a startup which offers a service which helps homeowners tackle the hassle and cost of home maintenance, has raised a round of funding, the company said last week. Size of the funding was not announced. According to PreFix, the round was led by Chicago Ventures, and also included Brand Foundry Ventures, Brian Spaly (Founder, Bonobos and Trunk Club), Paul Hedrick (Founder/CEO, Tecovas), Brett Hurt (Founder/CEO, Bazaarvoice and data.world) and Firebrand Ventures. As part of the funding, Chicago Ventures' Rob Chesney has joined the company's board of directors.
