Planview Software Developer Gets Presidential Innovation Position

Austin software firm Planview has a new connection in the White House: one of its own employees, Robert L. Read, its director of product development. The firm said today that Read was selected as one of 43 Presidential Innovation Fellows, a new program from the White House to rotate innovators and entrepreneurs for six- to 12-months through federal government efforts to bring innovation and ideas from the high tech industry into government. Read was selected from over 2,000 applicants for the White House program. According to Planview, Read will be working on a team which has been building a platform for small, creative businesses to more effectively sell to the federal government.
