Pivot3 Partners With Teradici

Austin-based Pivot3, which develops storage and computing appliances aimed at the virtual desktop (VDI) market, announced this morning that it has partnered with Teradici, a developer of server offload cards for the virtual desktop market. According to the companies, they will work together on co-marketing and potential bundle programs for key vertical markets for the companies. No details on the financial arrangement or impact of the move were announced. Teradici's products are used to offload servers and transmit virtual desktop data to clients using the PCoIP protocol. Pivot3 is backed by a substantial amount of venture funding from Samsung Ventures, Focus Ventures, InterWest Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Mesirow Financial, Northleaf Capital Partners and Silver Creek Ventures.
