Phytel Acquired By IBM

Dallas-based Phytel, which develops disease tracking and preventative care tracking software for physicians, has been acquired by IBM, as part of an effort to bolster IBM's Watson Health unit. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Phytel develops integrated population health management software, which is used by healthcare providers track chronic disease in their populations. The software is used by primary care providers, large hospital systems and physician networks.
